Here's something funny...

We had bought one of those Leapfrog play and learn tables for my daughter when she was a few months old... in the middle of the night it would suddenly go off... "red" it would say with the red light lighting up... and then it would do it again... and again... and again... I'd get up and it would stop.

My wife and I would joke about a "ghost baby" having fun and one night while we were watching TV (and having the thing go off about 5 or so days in a row) it started up again... "red" with the light lighting up.... "red" with the light lighting up... so I jokingly said, "come on, at least pick a different colour"... "blue" it said with the light lighting up...

Well, you can imagine the look on both our faces. I shut it off.

Now, a year and a bit later, and we still joke about the "ghost baby" and every now and then I get a little chill just for thinking about it.

Well, damned if I didn't wake up in the middle of the night one evening and there, standing right beside my bed, silhouetted by the hallway nightlight was a small child...

Okay, it was my daughter who had crept into my room but damned if I didn't near scream my head off.

at home or at work?

either way, I guess...

at home, there were may times, while in bed, that I'd feel someone tugging at my ears, poking my feet...shit like that. just enough to wake me.

another time I got up to see a ton of toys knocked over. not so odd, right? remember, I GLUE them down.

and the old "this item isn't where I left it, and I'm the only one here" thing.

at work, it's usually a sense of someone rushing at me.
last night, one of the Sanctuary doors was open, and I know for a fact I closed it. only person there, and the door sticks tight(which I gotta fix soon), so it didn't just swing open on its own.
the real pisser is, none of this happens when anyone else is there.
